Emergency Brake Boot Install(Installing a genuine leather boot)

1) Remove console cover
2) Release emergency brake boot from console by pulling upward to release 4 clips
3) Pull boot forward to expose set screw
4) Remove set screw
5) Pull emergency brake handle forward and release button, handle and boot will slide off of park brake lever(careful, button will pop off, so be ready!)
6) Reverse and you're set!

Hardest part will be pulling the new boot up over the brake handle. Takes some finessing, but be patient and it will go on.

I just purchased a parking brake lever handle and boot (GM accessories). Recieved an entire assembly including cable etc. The boot comes right off but I am unable to remove the handle on either the stock lever on the car or the new leather replacement. Any suggestions? jim
