Installing Painted Fuel Rail Covers

1. Use a plastic tube around the steel braided fuel line. The braided line is very course and will damage the cover. You can pick up 1/2 plastic tube from the hardware store. The tubing is split (DO NOT REMOVE THE FUEL LINE).

2. After placing the tubing on the fuel line take some electrical tape or white tape and secure the tubing to the fuel line. You can use a lubricant like petroleum jelly to help move the FRC over the line, this will not damage the paint and you can use a spray detail to remove it when the installation is completed. Take note as to how you are maneuvering the FRC to remove it, this may help you when installing the new painted FRC.

3. After you have removed the stock FRC, put some additional petroleum jelly on the supplied tubing and reinstall the new FRC taking care not to force the line thru. You can bend one side of the split in the FRC to help maneuver the fuel line thru it.

4. After you have run the fuel line thru and secured the FRC to its mounting posts you can remove the supplied tubing and store it for future use.

5. Use a detail spray to remove the petroleum jelly from the FRC.

The best way to remove and install a cover to 100% avoid damage.
IF POSSIBLE PURCHASE THE TOOL TO DISCONNECT THE FUEL LINE.THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO AVOID DAMAGE

To Install the passenger side FRC simply remove the oil fill cap and oil dip stick pull up on remove and replace with your new FRC.

And there you go....simple and fast.
