Installing Brake Rotors

Installing brake rotors is a relatively simple process. Safety is key, make sure you properly jack and secure the car, block the wheels.

1. After securely jacking up the car (loosen up the lugs a little while on the ground).
2. Remove the wheel
3. Remove the (2) bolts on the back holding the brake calliper on. Find a spot to place the calliper avoid hanging the calliper from the brake line. Do not step on the brakes while the calliper is off the rotor.
4. Remove the original brake rotor.
5. Clean the area with a wire brush and place the new rotor in place.
6. Place the new brake pads in the brake callipers.
7. Re-install the brake calliper. You may need to compress the pistons in the calliper to get it on the new rotor. You can do this with a tool specifically made for this or you can use a C-clamp with a small piece of wood to protect the surface.
8. Make sure the bolts holding down the calliper are secure.
9. replace the wheel and torque the lug nuts.
10. Test the brakes at low speed to make sure there working properly.
