Radioflyer97's How-To Post #2: How to install underglow

Some may consider it "ricer" I think it's cool. Mounting underglow on a corvette can ONLY be done with LED strips to prevent ground clearance problems. The pic here are part or the rebuild for better light distribution.

The idea is that even from the ground you can't see the source of the light, only the glow. (difficult as hell with the corvette being as low as it is and having minimal mounting space)

Front now consists of a 2-foot center section and (2) 1-foot corner sectionshttp://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c200/radioflyer1986/CIMG1686.jpg

The rear used to be a 2-foot strip but i bought a 3' strip for better effect. It's mounted on the bottom of the center cargo bin and held in place with 3m mounting tape and 2 screws.

The sides were the most fun. I HIGHLY reccomend frame rails from CCA:

I mounted (2) 3-foot LED strips back to back on a 6'x.5" Aluminum strip from Lowes to ensure an even mounting surface. I mounted the Aluminum strip with .5" body molding tape available at Wal Mart and Auto Zone. I ran the wires between the Rocker panel and the CCA frame rail. I wrapped a few layers of electrical tape around the wire about every 4-6 inches to keep it from falling out.

I LOVE the color on them lights, but then you knew I would.
As much as I would love to own such a lovely table, I am NOT going to enter this contest since I was a lucky winner on the last contest.
This way others can get the pleasure of winning.
Just know that I'll be reading all of these posts for fresh ideas. Great stuff to begin with so far! Keep it up guys.

Ok. You seem pretty handy with vehicle wiring and since I am neither a mechanic nor an electrician, I could use some help. I've got a lighting problem with my C5. I added some LED lights to the coves. I tied the wiring into the orange running lights in the front, ran the wiring up and under the wheel well and down to the cove. I have mounted the wire with automotive double stick adhesive pads multiple times and it keeps coming down from the bumping of the road. Any sugestions??

Here is a pic of the lights in the cove.

Thanks for any help.

Since I can't figure out how to post the pic here, go to my gallery and there is a pic of the wire hanging down there.
