Well I have decided to do the gears and go all the way to the 4.10's. They should be in next week or so, anyone give some heads up as to what I can expect when I get her back?

I don't have them in my Vette but I have a friend that has them in his C6 and I took a ride in it and   Sickening quick! half the time I had to really look to see what gear he was in as he was shifting out of them so fast!! But alot of fun!:D

Do you drag allot? You will be shifting into 4th right at the end and I have heard that it slows your overall time down. ON the other hand they are a blast on the streets!! I wish my wife would let me get them!!

Jayfive, is your car a Z-51 car or the base model? If it is a Z-51 car the car will already be shifting 4th right at the end of the 1/4. Mine is a base car with stock gearing and I cross in 3rd, but my buddies Z-51 has to shift into 4th right at the end. I think in either case the 4.10 will be beneficial to your 1/4 mile times and either way you should be shifting 4th a decent amount of time before the end of the 1/4. Depending on the tire that you are running you should be able to drop some time off!!! Let us know how you like them!

It's a Z51 shocker, and I have to tell everyone that this was IMO the best bang for my buck mod to date!!!:D  After a little btreak in period I got on it and ........speechless! On the freeway I am in 6th and a little higher rpms but it doesn't bother me. Now around town this is where the extreme fun is at!!! Anyone thinking of doing gears DO IT!

I originally called Motive but they told me that they didn't sell to the individual public so they refered me to one of their distributors but they were all out and had a long wait. Well a long story short I made some calls and ended up getting them from LMPerformance in IN. So go for it!!

Did you just replace the gears or did you upgrade the rear end at all? I am thinking about getting a whole new rear end from RPM Transmission but I am still undecided about which gear because I want a good all around gear. I am getting more into road racing and auto crossing so I may stay with a smaller gear.

Actually you can go a lot higher than that if I am right, but those will be very fun!

Their prices seem to be a little cheaper but I don't think they are as extensive in what they do. I have talked to people at both companies and I like the customer service better at RPM. Put it this way I am from Chicago and both companies are in Indiana, my buddy and I chose to drive past DTE and go twice as far to get to RPM because of the way they took care of my buddy over the phone!!! We drove there with his rear end and they took care of him right away when we got there!

Just the gears, I really didn't have the flo to do the whole diff, I would have loved to but owell! I will never have drags on the car and I rarely do hard launches so I should be fine.

What year is your Vette? I was thinking of doing this but then I started to read on how the 2005 C6 have a weak AZZ differencial and that people are breaking them all the time?!!?

If you have an 05 and you drag race your car, I would probably recommend to do the whole rear or at least replace the shafts in the rear end when you have the gear installed.

This is what I did and I am hoping that it will be enough for what I did to my Vette! We will know in about a month!
