I was thinking about removing the front emblem on my car and wanted to see what everyone did about the 2 small holes left afterwards? Any ideas?

Isn't there a color matched compound that you can use and buff to a nice shine?

I removed both of mine a couple weeks ago, with small fishing line and lots of rubbing carefully to get all the sticky 3M tape material off the finish. I then istalled these chrome emblems... I do not know what to tell you about filling the holes, I'd bet though that if you did want to go that route, that it would also include painting the whole front clip, just my thoughts, and in reality that is not such a big deal or job.

I have done this before with the fishing line and solvent and it works great, now as far as filling in the holes you will need to just use a fiberglass puddy and then get that area painted. As already mentioned here, not that big of a deal!

You can remove the rear but the front emblem has two **** with corresponding holes in the body.

The vendor was looking for someone that would try them out on their Corvette and let them know how they fit. I am going to buy another flat one like on the truck lid to have around, maybe for my toolbox. They quoted me $65 for that one I believe.

First you need to join a photo hoisting site, I use photobucket, there are many more. After you get the pics you want loaded into the photo site, you copy the URL address for the image. then in the Replt to Thread window you click the icon that looks like a mountain with the moon just to the right of it....

Have to be careful here, after you click the insert image box a new little window pops... you want to highlight everything in the address window that popped up and then copy your image url address into the pop up window overwriting the" http:ect" that was already in there...

When I first started posting pics in here some would work and some wouldn't... here the http stuff that is in the pop up window sometimes got added to the front of my image's address and screwed it up!

Isn't there instructions in here somewhere, I'm sure they would be better then that confusion I just spewed out!!!

Tim

Dusky, Click on the link for Pro-Dec that I provided in my post. Once Pro-Dec's site pops up scroll down the page till you see "Hole Caps" on the right hand side...

Can't go wrong with step by step. It took me forever to figure it out.
