Does any know if the 2007 Corvette records the engine rev history, like the Porsche in particular the Cayman ( In the Porsche the rev history is recorded in the ECU and can be used by the dealer to void the engine warranty )...

I would like to know before I take my vehicle out and run it on a local track.

My dealer told me it does. That is why I really make sure that I don't over rev that way if something does break and I have to use the warranty, the dealership can't say that it was because of my driving!

If I am not mistaken they are like an airplanes black box but from what I hear, since you own the vehicle the information belongs to you and someone would need a warrant or something along those lines to access the information. This is what I have heard....whether this information is true or not I do not know!

That does sound interesting and could very well be true as I am not an expert on this subject either.
