Hey everyone, I have a fast 90 already installed and I was wondering if porting this will give me a noticable increase in power? And what kind of cost am I looking at? Thanks

Yes I would do it. That is one of the first things that Tony Mamo said that we will be doing to get some very good mid range torque. I have heard of costs ranging from 4-600 dollars to port it! Just check around your area and get it done, you won't be disapointed!

Yes if you can get someone to do it for a good price, then absolutely!! It is relatively cheap power and you will see some good torque from it too!!

Dont look for the guy that quotes you the cheapest price....better to spend $500 and actually see a noticable power increase than spend $250 with little or no gains. It takes alot of time to properly rework a FAST intake and even though Im one of the more expensive options, every single customer I have helped was completely satisfied as soon as they recived it back and saw the work performed (not to mention got to the dyno).

Whats it worth?....An additional 8-10 RWHP so even at the price I am charging it's still a reasonably cost effective mod. In fact you already spent TWICE that or more getting into the FAST set-up to begin with only to see approximately the same gains I just mentioned. Are you running a stock LS2 TB currently? If we ported that at the same time the intake was done you would see a very noticable improvement.

I have seen other "ported" intakes and much like cylinder heads the results can vary by a huge margin. Read between the lines.

Feel free to PM me or contact me directly at AFR if you have any questions or concerns. If your looking for more power its certainly a logical place to look. One good peek at it the port runners before you send it off and when you receive it back will confirm that. It doesnt take a degree in fluid dynamics to see the differences....it will be very obvious. I would also encourage you to look around on some of the other message boards for opinions and results of people I have helped...

Happy Holidays everyone!

Cheers,
Tony

Thanks alot, I have done some reading on this subject that led into heads and your name appeared a few times which led me to believe that you know what you are talking about. And as I was just jumping around this site I stumbled across the "N/A" section and I saw your 383 killer! Nice very nice!

I design cylinder heads and build engines for a living....I had better know what I'm doing....LOL

Chris...give me a call at AFR. I will get you tuned up on the FAST intake as well as any other performance related questions you may have.

Cheers,
Tony

PS...Wait till you see my next N/A combo....make the 83' look like a milk fed puppy :D

Once again if you do get it done make sure you get it done by a pro, if it is not done well you won't see any real results and you will have pretty much wasted a few hundred dollars

8 to 10 RWHP? I thought you can get more? Perhaps information I received or told rather not correct?
