Which is a better radar detector? User friendly? Reliable?

Escort rocks, GPS and you can program it to all the invalid spots that set it off, so you know when you have the real deal coming up.

Most reliable - common sense and good judgement. If I where choose between those 2 detectors I would go with the 9500, so much better reviews.

I've had a Valentine 1 since last year for my birthday, I don't have any experience with the Escort line, but will say the Valentine has saved my butt on many different occasions! :burnout:

GPS is just another gimmick that wont work accurately as far as I'm concerned. If their GPS system is as "reliable" as most GPS I've tried NO THANKS! Most Have my house listed 500 feet up the road! Ever used sat nav and its completely WRONG? Example: When turning would plummet you to your death? Sat Nav is at BEST only accurate to 50 feet anyway. How often are they updating their list?
I owned Cincinatti Microwave stuff from the beginning...when Valentine owned it! The Escort and original Passport (1986) were the ONLY ones I never had to return for service. I gave up on them and bought a Valentine and never looked back. Its FAR superior to past Escort units and arrows are essential.
New 9500 doesnt even have arrows! http://www.escortradar.com/9500ix.htm How am I to know WHAT DIRECTION the threat is within that 500 feet problem I've experienced?

The 9500ci -their "hidden" custom installed model -is an astronomical $1700 compared to Valentine One's Unit for $400 plus $40 for remote display.

I've had questions before and Mike Valentine himself actually answered the phone. Its like having a buddy next door!
