Actually one of my boys has one in his 2004 and he says that he got 9hp to the wheels from it. When I heard that I did a little research of my own and found that most people will see a handful of HP but for the most part it really does cool the engine alot faster. I decided to not go with it because it was too much$ for soo little performance!

Doc, I have a Mezziere that is going on my 402 in about a month but unfortunatly I wont really know the HP because I am doing everything at once! Now I know of others that have done this mod and say that they have noticed a nice change albeit nothing spectacular.

are these expensive to install, because I was thinking of maybe getting one but if it is goingt to be really $$$ to install than I might hold off.

Luckily I haven't had mine fail (knock on wood!) but if it does I would guess that your car would start to heat up and you might want to pull over and call someone!

I have a Meziere electric water pump and to be quite honest I have not felt a big difference like some people have but don't just take my word for it!

I actually have a chance to pick one of these up for $350. Is this a good price for this item? I am not very familiar with it.

What sort of reduction in temps to you see with this if any?

You get your power increase with electric wate pumps because of the load that is free'd up from not having the engine spin the water pump. So this is where people have made claims of 10-15HP gains. The electric water pump spins at the same RPM regardless you sitting in traffic or going 150 down the autoban. I don't have one and personally don't have a need for one. If I ever started doing some serious mods to the Vette I would get one.
