common problem on the c5, its known as the leaky butt.

:iagree: There are some good DIY posts out there if you decide to do it yourself. Some owners have had luck getting their local dealership to do it for them by being rather boisterous and demanding. It IS a common problem and GM knows it!

Do you have to replace the whole axel?

any idea on the web site address 4 diy on this? i just need a veiw of the blue prints. need to know what i'm getting in too. an exsploded veiw would be great,torque specs even better. thanks,MIKE
