southernbell 06-18-2007, 07:37 AM How long should a clutch last you? I have an 2003 with 62,000 miles and need to change the clutch? I do drive this car nearly 6 days a week. The more houlligan things you do, like burn outs and such are hard on it and will shorten the life noticably. I have a 91 subaru wagon 5 spd with 149000 miles and the original clutch is still going strong. I use it to pull the motorcycle trailer. So, compared to that, 62k is not too good, but I dont do burnouts in the subaru! :) I know people that have trashed clutches in 10k miles....but they were totally crazy! hotshoetom DynamicTuningSolutions 02-07-2008, 11:49 PM Or you have unfortunate things like the slave cylinder leak all over the clutch and kill it at 36,000...:mad: | |
