Hi everyone,
I just joined the board and have some questions I was hoping you could answer.
About 12 years ago my father purchased a 1960 red/white corvette in pretty good condition. Over the past few years he has used it sparingly during the summer, but never put any serious miles on it. It starts and runs fine, but It's just not getting the use it deserves and he is thinking about getting rid of it. He not to internet savvy and asked me to get some information on how/where to sell it and to get some ball park figures on how much it's worth.
What I know about the car.
Had a body off restoration about 15 years ago. Too be honest I'm not really sure what that entails.
Car looks great. From 10 feet away it looks perfect, but up close there are small imperfections in the paint.
I'm not sure what type of engine it is. Is there something I should be looking for to tell me which of the various engines it is? It is original though.
Car starts and runs fine. We are talking about a 45+ year old car so it's a much different experience then driving a modern care, but everything seems fine to me.
4-Speed Manual transmission. Again I don't know if there are different options here, so any help in identifying what I have would be appreciated.
Can anyone give me an idea of what other information I will need to obtain before he begins listing the car? Really any info would be helpful here.
The car is currently in northern NJ.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Phil
