Thanks! Stopped and seen the progress today, I'm happy. My painter is doing rolling checkerboard stripe (HOOD,TRUNK), checkered mirrors/rear spoiler,Airbrushed emblems with Roadrage, all chrome is now black.

:iagree: I've heard these cars are a riot to drive, not to mention get some pretty good mileage on the road. What was that movie the Italian Job? Great movie with a handfull of these cars used and raced in the movie.

The red one was a Mini Cooper S and the other two where regular Mini Coopers

I have the S model, about 33 mpg, have to buy Super because of the Turbo, but worth it!:cheers:

In the 60's mate, the mini cooper won the Monte carlo rally 3 years in a row, that was the old mini cooper, 1275cc twin carb british leyland, They banned them from the general public In England because of the mortallity rate, well there you go, thats our government for you, blame the car for careless driving; 125mph that bugger would go, quite impressive back then.
