I've read some articles on this turbo system? Has anyone installed and what you think of remote turbos? It seems the popular ones are installed up under the hood? I have read some online articles and seen some reviews and noticed mixed reviews?

The consensus is that the remote system stays cooler as it is obviously further away from the engine compartment. However it is less in the power department also, but it still produces powerful #'s that most Corvette owners would kill for!! All in all, it is still a great system, you just have to decide which system best suits your needs!:D

Wasn't there speculation on lag with this system, being that the turbos are in the rear? I have seen some videos on line of a Vette with this sytem and there was discussions about lag time?

Suggest you also take a hard look at the APS twin turbo system. That would be my personal choice.

I would have to agree with Tom here. APS is a top notch twin turbo set up. No disrespect against the STS or other twin turbo systems, APS is trumping these companies in consistent power, engineering, and over all size of company which equates piece of mind in what goes into these things! Just my opinion! Best of luck in your search!

I forget what magazine, but there was just an article on the STS system in one of the Vette magazines. As mentioned above I would also recommend looking at the APS twin turbo system. I heard nothing but good about APS and haven't heard anyone running the STS system (other than those videos I saw online). Hope this helps, you certainly have nice decision in front of you! Post your numbers once you have your new TT installed!

if someone could get some #'s on the differences between the rear mounted STS and the APS that would be nice. I am interested in getting a TT setup and have a friend that has a STS he would like to sell but I want to make sure that it is a nice system. ALso, as asked earlier is there alot of lag with the STS?

To a certain extent yes. The STS is a little behind on the power however your engine bay won't be an inferno as the turbos are nowhere near it as w/the APS system. It all comes down to what you like, you are going to get crazy power with any turbo setup it just depends how crazy you want to get!!!

If I were to go TT I would go with the APS system. I have a buddy that has their TT on his CObra!! Alls I know is that snake is out of control and very fast!! He has had no problems either.

Twin Turbos?!? I guess I am just old or something, but I can't even imagine having those on my C6? I am still grinning from the power it makes on it's own! But to each his own! Good luck with your Vettes everyone.
