Somehow I have managed to get gum on my carpet? How can I get this out? Any help would be appreciated!

This happened to me a few years back. I had the truck (my old SUV) professionally detailed and they managed to get the gum out. $139 later for a complete detail!

Been a carpet man for 40 years installed all kinds. Gum removal denatured alcohol white terry cloth wet cloth with alcohol and use plenty of elbow grease it will come out.Do not wet the carpet, will leave no residue and will not hurt the carpet and doesn't have too bad a smell.

Grab some ice, put it in a plastic bag (to prevent leaking), and rub the ice on the gum until the gum freezes and hardens. Scrape away the hardened gum with a dull knife. If residue remains, remove it by blotting with a dry-cleaning solvent, such as Carbona. Be sure to test the solvent first, however, in an inconspicuous spot to make sure that it won't damage the carpet. This procedure also works with upholstery.

Peanut butter works to get gum out of a child's hair, it should work to get the gum out of carpet. Now, does anyone know how to get peanut butter out of carpet?

Actually, get a can of computer duster that you use to blow dust out of a computer. Turn the can upside down and spray out some of the liquid on the gum. It will freeze the gum better than ice. Then scrape and vacuum the gum out of the carpet.
