my rececntly purchased 75 vette originally had a/c. all parts and hoses are still in place
except the compressor and mounting brackets. of course the compressor is easily available to purchase. the original mortor was a 350. previous owner replaced it with a
1978 400 capris engine.

mounting brackets that i have seen thus far are listed for 350/427/454 i have no clue if
any of these will work or even if reinstalling the air compressor is a possibility since the engine has been changed . can some one offer advise or suggestions

Hi Danny,

The 400 block and heads are drilled the same as the original 350 block and heads, therefore the correct brackets (when found) will bolt up with no problem. I suggest you go to your local Chevrolet dealer and order new brackets, or see if you can find some at the wrecking yard.
