Hi all, I have a 1992 vette and just yesterday, when pulling out of the gas station, it hesitated and sputtered. I put it the clutch and it idled just fine but under load it had no power. I pulled it off of the road and took a quick look under the hood but saw nothing out of the ordinary. All of my guages read fine except for the coolant which was on the brink of being too hot. I quickly turned on the air to cool it down which it did and then it seemed to drive much better but then again today, it did the same thing but the collant was much lower. Could this be a fuel filter? The opti-spark was changed about 30k miles ago so I'm hoping it's not that. Any ideas?

The coolant being on the high side could have been trapped air in the cooling system.Have you done any work on the cooling system lately? The power lost could be a plugged fuel filter.Whens the last time it was changed or a tune up for that matter?Where the plugs and wires changed with the opti. The biggest reason for the opti to fell is water be it from a water pump leak or washing the engine.
