I like to put the car into lower gear and rev it up a little, however I would like to know if this is really bad for the engine?

just like the manuals as long as you don't keep hitting the rev limiter all the time it is ok!

The Powerband doesn't really start till 4,000 RPM, let it rip my friend! The LS series are much friendlier to high Revs then the older blocks.

It helps to stuff it and let it bounce off the rev limiter at least a dozen times frst. Use it like a shift point. Thats how TCR rolls.

I havent found too many things more fun than rev limiters in GM's and Fords.
