I like the hood on the smokinvette's silver c6? They told me starcraft makes this hood and I visited their site, but no hood for c5? Any ideas where I can get on like this? Thanks

Thank you!!! That hood is insane!! What does that style hood cost? How did you paint the underside?

The hood in fiberglass was approx $1,300 and $450 for the paint job. No need to order the hood in carbon fiber ($1,800) weight diff is minimal. I had them spray the underside of the hood "spriral grey" along with the top(no budding underside). Unlike the stock hood, you don't want to install any mat or heat shielding to the underside of the hood. Ie. the hood is designed to vent heat out of the engine compartment.

Hi Tom... I would like to get some air circulation and get some of that hot air out of the engine compartment... do you know if those vents can be installed on my existing hood? thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I don't know if you can easily mod an existing hood. I assume it takes someone who's good at glass work.

I second that vote, I would love to have that hood for my vette. Although that one hood from LPE is my fav but I don't think it goes with the C5:(
