Hey guys, my name is Justin and I go to UCF in Orlando, FL. I currently have a 91 Mustang GT, but before everyone on this board rips my head off, its up for sale.

I'm looking to buy a 92-96 C4. There's just too many things I disliked about my mustang: horrible chassis flex, 4 lug axles and drum brakes, horrible reliability (at least mustang parts are cheap due to their falling out of the sky), a factory 302 producing maybe 200 hp to the wheels, but worst of all (imo) is the amount of significant modifications it requires to handle somewhat decently. I've just grown tired of the straight line crowd.

My car hasn't sold yet, so I'm in no rush to buy anything. I got ripped off big time when I bought my mustang, so I wanna make sure I'm an informed buyer this time. I have a lot of mustang specific knowledge, so I'm here to start over and learn what I can about corvettes so I don't buy another flexed piece of junk :banghead:

Well that's my life story lol, see you guys around!

welcome to the dark side, i have owned nothing but mustangs 93,95,2001, a true blue oval guy through and through. one day i was in the market to buy a 2003 cobra and after the test drive ithe salesperson talked me into his 2001 a4 coupe. At first i said no way and the car was an automatic so i was not buying this sales pitch. well to make a long story short i drove the car and i even purchased the car, the power and torque are amazing. and the technology was well beyond any mustang of this year. I still do not like chevy but i love corvettes. Welcome....

Welcome Aboard from DTS in So Cal! :D

How much are you looking to spend on a Vette?

I'd like to spend $15,000 or less for a low miles C4. I can't buy yet because my mustang hasn't sold but I've seen some good deals including a 95 with 31k for $13,700, so I think (there goes that word) I have a reasonable number in my head.

Like I said before, I'm new to corvettes so can someone direct me to some general info about c4's, just some kind of information to get me started.

What kind of info are you looking for generally or more specifically?

Also check with the C4 members in their respective forum here. I'm sure that they can help you as they are owners as well. :D

Really looking for something about the differences between the model years for the C4, like engines and stuff. I'll post something in the C4 forum if I can't find anything first.

Also, things unique to corvettes, such as I think I read something about a few years that they had the distributor under the water pump.
