After watching some videos on youtube of Vettes with cam's I would like to get one. The sound and what I understand the power increase is looking very attractive. How do you shop for a Cam? No supercharger or TT, just near stock engine with an exhaust. How much work is involved in putting a aftermarket Cam in? Where should I buy? Whats a fair price for installation?

I believe the cam job is a big one, your mechanic will need to dig deep into your motor for this swap. The only manufacture of cams that I know of is Comp Cams and Crane??? I know there are other manufactures, just not one of those subjects I have alot of experience.

Yeah thats a big job..Comp Cams is one of the best companys when it comes to cams. You'll need a new timeing chain, roller rockers valve springs, rods, lefters and head machining along with higher valve covers ect. If you call Comp Cams they will be able to tell you all the parts you'll need for what ever set up you'll be useing the cam for. This job is at least $4000 with labor and parts togather maybe even more on a C6...
