Hi all you SmokinVette's! Its been a little while since any sort of updates on what we have cooking here with our two '05's project Vettes. Recently we have installed Kooks 1 3/4" long tubes and their 3" X Pipe on our Silver '05 and love the new sound!
On top of that we have just installed Nitto's new Invo tires all around and have to say these tires are incredible, not to mention was an excellent fit with the Z06 tire sizes!
We went with 275/35/18 on the front and 345/30/19 in the rear. These fit w/o any modifications (didn't need to tub at all) This past weekend went for a little stroll from Orange County up to Sacramento. I have to say these tires grip the pavement like no tomorrow, not to mentioned they are so much quieter than the Goodyear F1's we had on prior.
I have to say after moving to the Z06 quarterpanels and Z06 wheels/tires all around I was a bit concerned on the only option for tires was the Goodyear F1's. Personally Goodyear is a great company, however I think their F1 makes for a "good" OEM tire, however for more aggressive dry and wet handling these Nitto's were the best choice.
Here are some pics of the new tires:
