Anyone know procedure that works to adjust the hatchback on a 1982 Collectors Edition?

When I was looking for my vette I did look at a 82. The hatch was smashed. My only advice take your time. I was only able to locate one NOS ($3,000) and a few used. Most places think the hatch on a 78 and new will work. Good luck.

This should work for you as I was reading last night that the was a problem with the design of the 2 hinges that hold the glass to the car. What you want to do is remove the struts to relieve presure off the window. Then remove the interior that surronds the ringes, this will give you access to the adjustments. To adjust the hatch you move the entire hatch toward the front of the car as needed, this should take care of your issue! Good luck!
