The only adapter I know of that is available is the USA Spec adapter. We also have it if you can not locate one. You will have to have an XM ready radio- XM does not have to be subscribed but the XM module has to be in the vehcile since this adapter hooks up to the module.

Is there a website on this part? What is involved in the installing this? I have a iPod Nano that I have tried the FM transmitor and didn't like it was to "fuzzy".

USA Spec's deal is the best, friend of mine has one in his Cadillac and what a difference! I think those are around $240?? Compared to the FM units, its a bit more $$ but sooo worth it! I may end up getting a new iPod myself (dropped mine in lake!:( )

We can sell it to you for $189 shipped. Its basically plug and play at your XM module which I believe for your vehicle would be in the back of the center console or trunk.
If you are interested, let me know. John.

Just perfect! I just got one of these FM deals for nearly $78!? I haven't used this yet, are you saying the FM ones aren't the best? I was told it was? How bad is the clarity? Actually I'm going to try out now!

The FM transmitter based units are probably considered the worst. The only reason why they are heavily used and recommended is because they are simple to install since there is no installation required.
The FM transmitter units use an FM station to transmit the audio from your IPod or audio device through to your stereo system which usually will degrade the sound quality and partially cuts the high and low frequency of the songs.
Many times when an FM transmitter is used, they might sound okay when you vehicle is parked but when the vehicle is moving, the transmitter is susceptible to pick up noise and interference.
As for the direct IPod adapters that USA Spec and other companies sell for the Corvette, they connect through the XM radio port which will give you CD quality sound with no issues of radio interference/buzzing noises.
The USA Spec adapter will also let you control your IPod from the factory radio and artist and song title will be displayed on the factory radio and it also charges your IPod. There is also a rca stereo input in case you want to hook up a different device like a Microsoft Zune, etc.

What is the Microsoft Zune? Do you have a web site or ebay site with all these items? Thank you.

Microsoft Zune is like an iPod, just Bill Gates version! Don't know anyone with one, most have the iPod.

John, who is this "we" that you speak of? This is dangerously close to advertising your store on the forum. Suggesting that folks contact you and offering a price for a good or service in a thread is getting close to the line that we reserve for forum vendors.

Perhaps you'd like to consider becoming a forum vendor? Please contact any of the moderators or site Admins to discuss commercial posting and or consideration of becoming a SV forum vendor.

I had the Scosche unit installed. It also required the XM connector be present. I can change playlists, songs etc. from the nav screen. Works pretty well, but I wish it had a better display, as it doesn't change the wording on the xm radio buttons so you have to remember which one does what. Does the SpecUSA unit do that?
