For those who have never visited the Corvette plant in Bowling Green Kentucky I highly recommend it. I have been there a number of times and took the plant tour and visited the Museum also. As you drive up to the parking lot you can smell the fiberglass/plastic etc. If your a true Vette lover you will get quite excited as I did when I approached the plant. You can walk right up to the assembly line and talk to the workers some and even possibly start a Vette for the very first time. If you have to take the wife or girl friend with you :) you may have to tie this deal into a mini vacation for her. Have no fret as Kentucky is a beautiful state with Churchhill Downs not being all that far away..
Edit:
I'm not sure but it was at either the plant or the museum that you can see the only 1983 Vette there is. Of the year 1983 cars used to set up the line for 1984, all were destroyed but one, which is on display there (a coupe).
