But I tried to do a burnout yesterday and I could'nt!! Is it my lack of experience or is my vette just out of spunk? I would mash the peddle at the stop light and I would just go forward with no burn out!:burnout:

If the car has traction control,
you may want to turn it off for a burnout.:burnout: :burnout:

An early C4 lacks the HP to light up the hydes with the wide meats, like the the man says "MODS". But instead of sittin' smoke'm I'll bet you go like hell off the line..........I've got a bone stock 84 that will light'em-up with some effort, I'm happy with just **** "n git!

My 94 won't smoke my tires either but it will throw your head back pretty damn hard!

I agree with the others that mods are the answer...

if you really want to smoke the tires install a line lock( pump brakes hit button locks only front brakes until you realease button) used on drag cars to heat rear tires up for a run

It is lack of axle ratio that keeps you from being able to smoke the tires on your Vette. If the car is ok other wise. My Vette has 2.59 axle and is almost impossible to smoke the tires. If it is a stick you can build rpm and dump the clutch.

My 96 with traction control on will burn tires good, but turn it off and you have to get gas,wd-40, or bug and tar remover to get the melted rubber off the quarter panels!! It burns them until I get off the pedal!!!!!

Hey im not sure what is up with your vette but i have a 85 that will almost spin all the way around when i punch it but anyways a good way to lite the tires up a break stand hold the break down mash the gas down and right when your about done let the break off and you will do a little burn out and go kinda cool if that dont work which it reall should ive done that with 4 bangers then you need some mods but really no car other than maby a caty should need mods to burn out...

Amen to that statement!!! My 89' won't do a "burn-out", but let me tell you this, If I mash the pedal from a dead stop your C2,C3 and C4will crackle like rice crispies. Of course I'm referring to the joints in your neck, you knew that right?

If automatic put it in "N" and rev the **** out of it and pull the shifter back into "D", that should do it. If not you may need a tune up. Check your plugs and put in a new cap & rotor.

What is the point of having a sportscar if you can't :burnout: .

Go with lower gears 3.73 or lower.
