How difficult is it to install one of these systems. I haven't decided what brand to pick up yet? Just curious before I pick up one whether or not I will be even able to install it? Thanks - Jim

Some systems you just remove the stock set up and replace with a couple holes I think they have you drill in the shrowd. Then there are units that will require you to remove the shrowd and modify it.

They are all pretty easy and will only require minimal tools. Here is a writeup for one of the hardest intakes to install:

I followed Shockerracing instructions on the Varam and spacer. Hardest part was the cutting of the shroud, just take you time and follow the instructions.

Agree the shroud is a B*tch to get out! For some reason mine was catching onto everything you could image.

I believe most the good ones will require you to make cuts into the shroud in the front.

I personally believe that removing the shroud to cut it or use a precut shroud is a waste of time. If you follow my instructions and protect your condensor this will go smoothly!
