hello i have a 1986 corvette just started to run very hot and i saw a little bit of white smoke comeout the tail pipes and the oil is not clear a bit tan i think head gasket but want to be sure: eek: any help thankfull

Wow, going out on a limb with this one. My first guess would be running lean? I believe that would be from the head gasket or similiar being bad??? Sorry not 100%
if it ran hot and you have white smoke, pull your plugs and see which ones are wet..lol...head gasket time...have a ball...make sure you take them to machine shop, aluminum heads will warp so bad u cant have them machined to level....

Probably your head gasket, look at the anti-freeze is it brown, dirty looking or oily? If so this also points to head gasket.

That would be a blown head gasket. Your heads may be warped depending on how hot it got. Have them checked as well

Head gasket, I had same problem with wifes car last year.

If the heads are cast iron they might be able to be saved.But for the price I would replace them

GM had service bulletin. the problem was valve seals leaking oil on the exhaust valves. The fix was replace the valve seals and umbrellas
