I'm looking to get a pro tune. After searching for a shop
close to Myrtle Beach, SC, I found that my choices are
limited. I was thinking about gouing to MTI Racing in
Marietta , Ga which is about 6 hours away. After looking at
their web site I noticed they offer a mail order ECU program
for $400.00. They have a 1 to 2 day turn around. My questions
are (1) is this alot better than a hand held tune such as a
Predator or Hypertech?? (2) would it be better to go to their shop
and do a Dyno Tune in shop?? My car is basically stock other than
a Borla Stinger catback and a SLP Blackwing CAI. Will a Pro Tune
be worth the money and will it be noticable in performance??
Sorry for being SOO long winded!!!!

PS: Is there any Pro Tune shops In the Myrtle Beach area.

Yes if you can get a pro tune do it Shaw, they are much better than the hand helds! And I have heard all good about MTI!!

I have tried them both and right now I have a professional tune on and it is night and day from the handheld I had. I only have a catback on too!

From a pro-tuner's standpoint you will get a better tune on site in general. Plus you will generally get a before & after dynosheet so you can see what you picked up.

I saw a nice difference in overall performance when I went from a handheld to a pro tune!
