What is a dry shot of NOS?

No fueling nozzle in the kit. They depend on the fuel system of the vehicle to provide the necessary fueling.

Then, what is a wet shot? Are they not two types of the same NOS? Gas as opposed to LOX, (liquid oxy). I'm having a senior moment...

A wet shot has a fuel nozzle as well as a nitrous nozzle. Now to add to the complexity, there are direct port "wet" kits (8 nitrous & 8 fuel nozzles) and intake/throttle body "wet" kits.

The direct port kits produce the most power by far and they distribute nitrous and fuel pretty equally. They are usually used at the 250+ HP range.

The throttle body versions and dry versions put the fuel in either just before or just after the throttle body and depend on the intake manifold for distribution. Modern EFI intakes are not designed for wet flow but on lower HP applications (75-175 HP) they can get away with it.
