My hood insulation doesn't look very good. Thinking about removing it and installing the Stainless panels to dress it up. Can we get away with not having the insulation under the hood?...any heat issues from this?

Heat issues can cause paint problems on top of hood and also hear more engine noise so I'd replace the stock blanket.

:iagree: Probably your best choice. I've got a nice one with only about 28k miles on it, $300 + shipping. Oh yeah it comes with the hood, harware, insulater blanket, and underhood light and the paint is in great condition.

I took my hood insulator off and spray painted it
with Krylon black flat and it looks brand new.

My hood liner has been off for quite some time and the hood still looks pristine!
