Hi everyone. I currently have a 1997 C5 that I enjoy and will keep as my daily driver. I've been looking at getting into a new C6 and was wondering should I go with the auto or manual. I like the idea of the paddle shift and was wondering if it is all its cracked up to be? Do you get the control that you would of a manual transmission? Close?

From what I understand the A6 transmission w/ paddle shifters is a remarkable transmission. Now mind you it still of course is a automatic transmission and is not a replacement of a manual transmission. We have both an automatic and manual transmission and enjoy both of them. If your looking to use this new Vette as a "weekend" driver, you may want to go with the manual transmission.

Weekend driver = manual transmission
