Its hard to explain but here it goes. I have a 84 Crossfire Injection and the past 3 times I would go and get gas or to the store in my vette, I would shut the car off and fill the tank up or run inside to get what I needed and come back to the car and try to start it, it wouldn't do anything all I would hear is my ignition switch click but it would turn over or fire, now some times it wouldn't even make a clicking sound and I would have to get a jump from someone, which when I hook up the jumper cables it fires right up. It doesn't do this all the time and thats what puzzles me, I replaced that battery, starter, and alternator. maybe someone can help me out b/c

That is a strange one especially seeing that you have changed all those parts! Well it is definetely still in the charging system, maybe the cables going from the alt. to the battery?

Do you have a way to confirm the alternator is in fact charging? It would not be the first time a brand new one was JUNK....
I would check the battery cables very close, make sure they are clean and have a good connection.....
In the future, instead of just throwing parts at the car, you can take any of those items into any of the bigger auto parts stores, and they can check them for you...if you suspect the battery is bad, remove it and take in in, most stores will load check for free...same goes for the alternator, remove it and take into a store, they can check the output.
The only other thing I can think of....IF it has been a half hour or so after the car gives trouble, before you jump it, it might simply be a HOT SOAK problem with the starter. That is easy enough to confirm, after driving car for a while and being sure it is completly warmed up, shut it off in YOUR DRIVEWAY...wait 5 minutes and see if you have the same problem starting it...if you do, leave the hood up and let engine cool for 45 minutes or so...WILL IT START THEN? If so, the problem is the starter is getting to hot. I believe I have seen wraps for the starters that are suposed to cure that problem, Corvette Central I think has them???
