I have a 1987 with a six speed manual conversion from the old Doug Nash 4+3. There is a square hole in the transmission well next to my leg that lets in hot air. Does this serve a purpose or can I permanently plug it up without needing to open it again later.

I would plug it up but not permanetly, just incase I needed to get it off for whatever reason.:cheers:

:cheers: It's under the carpet right? I would just put a temp cover over it just so the hot air doesn't come barreling through!
