WOW:willy_nilly: , is all I can say about his company. I called Matt a week or so ago and explained that I had a Maggie, Cam, Headers and a A6 car and would like to get it in ASAP. Matt asked, do you want to bring it today? I explained, I'm coming from Kzoo, MI and would prefer an appointment. No problem, he said I'll call you back in 15 min's. All be darn if he didn't call me back in 15 min and confirmed an appointment for Tuesday the 16th for 9:30AM.
I drove the car to the shop in Dearborn, MI and got there at 9:30AM. I asked Andy at the counter for Matt, within five minutes we are out looking at my Vette going over the Mods done to it. Go inside, Sashel was waiting to get the keys, he took the car back to the garage:thumbsup: At this time Matt escorted us to the conference room with TV and mags to read. At that time Rick came into the conf room and asked us if we would llike to take a tour. I said sure, Rick then took us back in to this shop. This place was clean enough to eat off the the floor, not one thing out of place:thumbsup: . Rick went over a lot of the cars that were in that area and what was being done to them to a point, must of been 25 lifts, full of Vettes, Stangs, F-Bodys, and more. At this time Sahsel came up to me and said the compression check is done and is fine, but you are running very rich on the bottom. Which would explain the 10-11 MPG on the way down and the black soot on the rear of my car. He also explained to me that I may have some bad ringlands:eek: , but he wouldn't know for sure until they got into a little more. The we continued the tour, we saw the motor dept, engine room, R & D, motor dyno, and the 6.0 liter that was responsible for pushing a Escalade through the traps at 12.88....:burnout: Well we went back to the Conf room and started to watch TV. My quest and I were checked in on about every 45 mins or so, for updates, questions, drinks, etc. After a couple of hours, the shop had found out that some of the Vac lines were switched around, dumping Oil in the intake:eek: , which would explain the fogging machine I had before we left....:thud: Once the lines were changed, it was time for the tuning to start, Dan one of the owners would be doing that process....First pull 480 RWHP, 10 to 12 solid pulls later, car was making 516 Rwhp on a very safe tune and 5lbs of boost...:drool5: Also no smoke. At this time, Rick came in to see if we would like lunch, said sure. He ran down and picked up lunch for us, since we were carless, I tried to get him to let me use the Roanaele Stang, but no luck:banghead: After lunch, Dan did a few more pulls and adj some of the fans, trans shifts, etc. He then put in my A/F sensor bung for me.
Drove home and was getting about 25-26 MPG on the highway. :patriot: Livernois is the place I will go for all car related issures, we felt this place was a top A speed shop....:patriot: When I got to my e-mail late Wed, Rick had checked in to make sure we had a safe trip and see how the car ran, thats customer service. I would like to thank Matt, Rick, Sashel and Dan for taking 10 hours to get the car running great. I will be going back Friday or Sat, for a little more tune..HP had to make a few changes....If any one is looking for a great place to have their car done in MI, I would say they have my vote
Thanks again,
Mark
