I'm looking for a fairly low milage (under 30K, the lower the better) used 3.42 rear differential to put in my C5 A4 for around $500 +/- depending on mileage. Must be in excellent condition with no issues past or present, and was not used on the track for racing. In short, one that was not abused. Obviously we all like to have fun with our Vettes :) so I don't expect it to have never seen 5000 RPMs :lol:. PM me if you have one available fitting this description.

There is a good chance that we will be pulling out the 3.42's that are in our black vette in a week or so. The vette has 21k miles on it and it has never seen the track. Now about 3000 of the miles are with the new engine, and you can see the numbers in my avitar. I have gotten a handful of times on it however the tires just spin! So as far as the gears getting ran hard that is it. At any rate we are getting our gears done at Unitrax in SoCal. They are specialists in this dept. and they will be able to determine if the 3.42's are still in good shape. If they are I will let you know!:cheers:

Your 3.42 sounds good and I'm very interested. The good thing is that I'm in So-Cal too, so shipping would be faster and cheaper :party:. In the meantime, if anyone else has one I'm still in the market
