Here is something I was just thinking of: If you want to add a security system to your prized '05 or newer Vette? Do you need to walk around with 2 transmitters: 1 FOB and 1 Alarm? Do they make an alarm transmitter that houses the FOB with out walking aound with a brick in your pocket? I've always had alarms on my cars and don't like clutter? Anyone taken this challenge on yet?

they should have alarm systems that include new FOB that can be programmed. Would consult your dealer first.

You can add a security system to your existing fob if you like or you can go with a completely new remote.

With a new remote will there be a FOB inside? What is a good security system? THanks!

If you want to use your existing key remote then you can add a Viper 330V which will give you basic security features like door trigger and shock sensor- if you want to protect your wheels or your car from being towed away then you can also add a motion sensor.
Or you can go with a standalone security system that will give you better range and a lcd screen that will page you if your alarm system goes off.

Viper is great system... I had this on my last SUV... remote start was the greatest function! During hot summer months pre-start AC prior to get into car and in the winters... start truck ahead of time to get it warmed up!
Can this system be used on Vettes with the FOB system?

Personally after using the Viper system and loved it I would recommend the Viper.

You can use just one FOB for both alarm and one needed to start car? Or will there be 2 controllers on key chain? Thanks
