: Question on down shifting my 2004 Z

This is happening more these days. When I'm downshifting one gear at a time and when I get into a gear that is too low for the speed I'm going it makes a high pitched whining noise?? I've never heard a car do this before! I'm not talking about the engine noise but another whining noise I believe from the tranny?

I know this may seem like a stupid question but if it is only happening when you say that you are going into a gear that is to low for the speed that you are going... then why are you trying to go into that gear if you are going faster then the gear should allow.

LOL sorry, it reminds me of that person that says, "It hurts when I scratch it" well don't scratch it.

I was gonna say, Don't
use the clutch for a brake.
Use the brakes to slow to
the proper speed for the
gear you are going into!!:smack: :smack:
