Headers and X Pipe -$400
Corsa Indys - $900
Hurricane Intake - $300
Dyno/Tune - $325

$1,925.00 = A gain of around 45 RWHP

Nothing against those who spray, you made the right decision. Plus your car most likely sounds really cool!

I'm going to say new rubber! I wouldn't call it a mod, but it seems everytime I put new tires on its like a new car! (almost :) )

A WORD OF CAUTION BEFORE ENTERING THE CAR MODIF GAME:

Depends on what you want to accomplish. I agree that some better non-run flats will really help handling. A new exhaust will make the car sound "kick butt".

If you want some “noticeable” performance gain, it’s going to cost you. Picking up 30-40 hp is really not much. If you want to get power you can “feel”, plan on spending approx $10,,000 for a APS twin turbo system or Kenne Belle twin screw SC with high rise hood. That will get you a 50% gain in hp, on the low end of your rpm band. That you will notice. The $2,000 options are going to be tough to feel when you step on the gas.

If you want “scary/sick” power, plan on spending $15,000 for forged bottom and above to get more boost. I’m at 740 rwhp. Or if you plan on doing road racing, buy a big block engine “ex. warhawk 454” and for $15,000 you will have big naturally aspirated power(600+hp, with tremendous low end torque).

My point is, don’t spend $2,000 and expect much.

If you want real handling upgrades for a track application, let me know and I can address in detail. That’s not cheap either. Exs. $6,500 for new brake system, $2,000-$4,000 suspension(T1 bars/coil overs).

Conclusion: modding your car isn’t cheap. Not for the faint of heart.

Very well said! Reminds me of this "electric turbo" I saw on ebay for under $100  ha ha ha - imagine being at a show and popping the hood to find electric "gimic" turbo like that.

I would say for $1000 - 2000 go with a modest brake set up.
