I have seen some tuner cars with Carbon Fiber hoods and have to say I like how they look. So I was wondering does anyone make carbon fiber hoods for Corvettes (C5)?

If so, does anyone have any recommendations on where to look for these, what is the cost, etc.

Sroll down the page until you get to the Magna extractor and the regularl extractor hoods, both avail in fiberglass and carbon. The first hood is for cars with Superchargers requiring a high rise hood (Maggies and Kenne Bells), the second is for normal engine configs. I bought the 2nd type because I race the car and the hood allows hot air to escape the engine compartment. If you plan to paint the hood to match the car, suggest you stick with fiberglass for better finish. If you want to have the carbon fiber hood in natural color then thats a good route.

If you wanted a stock hood in carbon fiber, then get a 2004 Z16 Covette (Z06) hood, they are carbon fiber stock for that year only.

Motor City Mold (MCM) is another excellent fitting aftermarket hood you should consider. Some customers have said that they fit better then a stock hood!
