does anyone know how to remove the drivers side gas tank on a 98 c5?? There must be some sort of trick to it as I have taken the plate bracket off and it is plenty loose, but something is holding it in from the top? I also have removed the screws from the filler tube top.

Are you changing your fuel pump? That is one area that I would'nt try to tackle myself!!

I am no expert on the subject as I have only done this on my C6. So I am going to say that it is the same in that you have to unhook the crossover tubes that go to the left tank which are up on top of the tank. Not a fun job IMO just because there is not much room to work with!!
