I found this site a couple days ago and signed up. Haven’t had much chance to look around yet, but hope I’ll be able to find some help for a couple future projects.
I was an auto mechanic at one time, had my own shop for about 10 years doing mostly automatic transmission rebuilding, even done a little body work…just enough body work to know I should not do any more..:iagree:
Over the years I built a C/Gas 55 Chevy, some street machines, etc…but it seems as time passed I got away from doing the work myself and started taking my cars to the “professionals.” Well, that’s going to change….I’ve had my first and only Vette…an 88 coupe, since 1997, it has most of the Greenwood stuff on it, plus the Keech side pipes.
I’ve done almost all the mechanical work on it, but none of the body work.
I’ve had the Greenwood hood scoop and louvers in my closet for 3 years now…finally decided it is going to be a project for my wife and myself next time I’m home. Then I remembered the rubber door and roof moldings need replacing….and I was thinking of flaming it…..I guess everyone can see where I’m going with this…:willy_nilly:
I think Eve and I can handle the work, we’ll just have the actual painting done by someone else, but I really am hoping to do the flames myself.
I guess this post will have a dual purpose, to introduce myself, and give fair warning about the possibility of future pestering…
