The passenger door speaker does this when I have it turned up and certain pitches? Does this mean the speaker is on its way out? Or just normal?

Usually when a speaker crackles, it is because the paper cone is dried out, and deteriorating... can also be distortion caused by high volumes with frequencies that aren't made to be played through the speaker. This can also be attributed to a bad x-over or Bose amp...

What year is your Vette, or the vehicle to which you are referring?

I have one of my rear speakers that makes that noise every so often, iritates the sh*t out of me! ha ha ha
