Have a friend who has a 1966 vette that is overheating He change the stat he flush the system put in fresh coolant. Still overheating Can we get some help from this great forum please:patriot:

check your fan clutch.. if its bad, you can get a severe duty clutch from Hayden.. also clean out the front of the radiator, they get clogged with leaves, debris

Need more information in order to offer a diagnosis:

Which engine?

What kind and age of radiator?

Does it have the original fan shroud, fan, and fan clutch?

Define "overheating" - does it puke coolant? Does it occur at road speed or just at idle or in slow traffic?

Has the gauge reading been checked against an I.R. gun "shot" of the upper radiator hose just above the thermostat housing so he knows what the gauge is really telling him?

Fan Clutch was bad went to a six blade flex fan working great Thank you all for your help.
