Hello from Conway, SC. near Myrtle Beach,
I'm having an electrical problem with my 1992 Vette. It has a viper passive alarm system, that self arms. The interior lights should turn off once the alarm engages, but the lights stay on causing the battery to go dead. I've tried putting the alarm on valet, but the lights still stayed on. I finally had to just disconnect the battery to make the lights go out.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Look for a loose ground as this is usually the culprit when those kind of symptoms come about!

Or give Viper a call and see if they can give you some ideas as it is their alarm system.

Welcome from Myrtle Beach, SC I'm not sure what to tell you about your problem other than have a qualfied viper installer check it out. It may have something to do with the light relay timer. If i'm not mistaken, the lights stay on for a short time after you shut the doors. That may have something to do with it????
