How's that for fast! The new 2012 Corvette Z06 equipped with the Z06 chassis package and wearing the optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires lapped the 12.9 mile Nurburgring in 7:22.68, besting the previous Z06 record by nearly 20 seconds.

The Z06's time was better than the 2009 Corvette ZR1's 7:26.4 lap and comes within 3 seconds of the 2012 Corvette ZR1's lap of 7:19.63
