my speedo bounces when driving(so does my gas gauge)any ideas?

I believe the speedo is cable driven, it could be there is a kink or bur, which I think you need to replace it or it could be lack of lubrication, so try to lube it.
The gas gauge is electric, so I would guess sending unit in the tank.
I am not a mechanic and there are lots of them on this site, my ideas are only best guesses.

A bouncing speedometer needle is caused by a dry spot on the cable. You need to pull the cable out and grease it.

ditto, grease the cables..if you are talking about the gas gauge fluctuating when driving, its cause there s no baffles in tank

Like toobroke and fish said- the cable is the first place to go. Lube it- but carefully- too much grease- or the wrong type grease is worse than leaving it alone. After that, if you have cruise control, the transducer may be going away. I've had the bearings in the speedo head die too-

thx guys,after i get it back from the paint and body shop:drool5: going with a nice pearl white with pin strip,i will try the grease
