I own a 1993 LT1, which I just started up after a cold winter in my garage. It started perfectly, but after about 20 minutes it began running rough, back-firing, coughing, etc. After cooling off it starts and runs perfectly, but begins running rough after it warms up. The dealer where the car is at thinks it's the distributor and wants about $800 to replace it. I think it's a fuel problem. Two questions: 1) what does the group thinks, and 2) is $800 reasonable to replace the distributor? I've seen them advertised on the Internet for anywhere from $150-$350. Also, if I decide to just bring it home as is, and siffin the gas out myself and replace replace it with new, how big of a project is that? Any other suggestions?
