62 vette 327 runs fine on highway but while in town it trys to run hot. I have changed the thermostat, flushed the radiator, and it has an electric fan installed. Any ideas?

1. What radiator do you have - the original stacked-plate aluminum, or a copper/brass replacement? How old is it?
2. Do you have the original fan, clutch, and full shroud installed?

It could be a few things but like was mentioned it would be best if you posted more information about the temperature you are talking about along with if any parts of the cooling system are stock, missing or what ever.
If this car has an aftermarket copper brass radiator then that can be the cause of the problem. Also need to check the ignition timing, belts, viscous fan drive if it has one, and the water pump. If everything is correct I see no need for an electric fan.
You could also have a leaking head gasket and that needs to be checked also.

See my feature technical article on Corvette cooling issues ("Beatin' the Heat") in the current (August) issue of "Corvette Enthusiast" magazine - just hit the mailbox yesterday.
